About Seema
Dr. Seema R. Patel is a fellowship-trained specialist in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery. She performs cataract surgery, advanced corneal procedures, and glaucoma laser treatments, and manages conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. With years of experience practicing in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, she is committed to delivering precise, individualized care tailored to each patient’s needs. Dr. Patel combines surgical expertise with a comprehensive approach to long-term eye health. She joined the practice in 2016 and continues to focus on providing high-quality, patient-centered vision care.
Education and Certifications
Dr. Patel earned her undergraduate degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from UMDNJ–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed an internal medicine internship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, followed by ophthalmology residency at Temple University Hospital, where she served as chief resident. She then pursued fellowship training in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at Emory Eye Center. She is board certified in ophthalmology.
