About Caroline
Dr. Caroline Zakhary is an optometrist dedicated to providing comprehensive primary eye care with an emphasis on ocular disease management. She has advanced training in dry eye therapies, postoperative cataract care including toric and multifocal lenses, and the treatment of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, corneal disorders, and diabetic retinopathy. Her clinical experience also includes low vision care and specialty contact lens fittings. Dr. Zakhary is committed to delivering thorough, personalized care to support each patient’s long-term vision health. Outside the office, she enjoys volunteering at her church, participating in medical mission trips, traveling, and spending time at the beach.
Education and Certifications
Dr. Zakhary earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Studies from Ohio University and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, graduating as valedictorian of her class. She completed a residency at Bay Pines Veterans Affairs focused on primary eye care and ocular disease. During her clinical training, she gained additional experience in advanced dry eye treatment and specialty contact lenses. She is a member of the American Optometric Association.
