About Alain
Dr. Alain M. Bauzá is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and surgeon with extensive experience serving patients in New Jersey. His clinical interests include cataract surgery, pterygium treatment, dry eye management, macular degeneration, diabetic eye care, and glaucoma management. As a first-generation Cuban American fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Bauzá is committed to providing accessible, personalized care. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cooking, spending time with family, and exploring new hobbies.
Education and Certifications
Dr. Bauzá earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. He completed a transitional internship at Christiana Care Health System and his ophthalmology residency at Boston University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been recognized by regional publications for professional excellence.
