Dr. Gershenbaum is an experienced ophthalmologist serving patients in East Brunswick and Toms River. With more than 11 years of experience, he specializes in advanced cataract and refractive surgery, performing thousands of procedures and tailoring each treatment to the individual patient. In addition to his surgical expertise, he remains actively engaged in ongoing education and advancements in ophthalmology to bring the most current techniques and innovations to his patients. His commitment to excellence and patient-centered care defines every aspect of his practice. Outside the office, he enjoys beach volleyball, skiing, and travel.

Education and Certifications
Dr. Gershenbaum earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa for outstanding academic achievement. He received his medical degree from Rutgers University and was recognized with the Academic Achievement Award as one of the top two graduates in his class.
He pursued ocular oncology research at Wills Eye Hospital and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Emory Eye Center. Dr. Gershenbaum has also been honored as a “Top Ophthalmologist” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
