About Stephen
Dr. Stephen Dellostritto is a dedicated optometrist with a strong focus on ocular disease, research, and education. His journey into optometry began during his undergraduate years at Ramapo College of New Jersey, where he developed his passion for the field while working as a technician in various optometric practices. Dr. Dellostritto has a love for travel and personal growth, which has led him on many adventures, from being an exchange student in California to traveling through Europe and participating in a mission trip to Panama. His commitment to pushing beyond his boundaries has greatly shaped his approach to both life and his career in optometry.
Education and Certifications
Dr. Dellostritto earned his undergraduate degree in biology, with a minor in neuroscience, from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry, where he also completed a combined graduate residency to pursue his research interests and further his clinical training, focusing primarily on ocular disease. After completing his residency, he joined SUNY Optometry full-time as an Assistant Clinical Instructor. In recognition of his excellence in ocular disease, Dr. Dellostritto was honored with the Dr. William M. Eisenberg Memorial Award.
