About Martin
Dr. Martin Weinberg is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who has been the Chief of the Department of Ophthalmology of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (2005-2017). He has been repeatedly selected for excellence of care by Castle Connolly Top Docs, Inside New Jersey Top Doctors, and US World & News Report and has been listed as a Top Doc in New York Magazine. He is known for his extremely thorough evaluations, which allows him to frequently pick up conditions other Doctors have missed. While prepared to handle the most complex problems, he also takes care of patients with more simple Ophthalmologic needs, and performs standard exams and refractions to update eyeglasses. Patients appreciate Dr. Weinberg’s sincere interest in providing the best possible exams with state of the art equipment, knowing that if a problem should arise he will pick it up at an early stage and offer appropriate treatment. He is a concerned and caring Physician with a warm demeanor who will take time to answer all questions.
Education and Certifications
Dr. Weinberg was selected by the National Institute of Health National Eye Institute for a Fellowship in Ocular Pathology, the microscopic evaluation of all Ophthalmologic Diseases at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. He undertook an additional Fellowship in Ocular Oncology – Tumors of the Eye and Orbit, which had a heavy overlay in Neuro-Ophthalmology. He has served as a Consultant in Ophthalmology to the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners.
