About Noreen
Dr. Shaikh is a fellowship-trained retina specialist dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care. She focuses on diagnosing and treating diseases of the retina and vitreous, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, and related conditions. With advanced surgical and clinical training, she provides personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient. She has also contributed to research and publications in retinal disease and remains actively engaged in the ophthalmology community.
Education and Certifications
Dr. Noreen Shaikh is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. She earned her medical degree from the Weill Cornell Medical College after graduating summa cum laude from Georgetown University. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University Hospital / Washington Hospital Center and further specialized with fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Beth Israel Lahey Health. Dr. Shaikh is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, and Women in Ophthalmology.
